Hi, I'm Mark

Certified Personal Trainer with over 25 Years of Experience

I’m a 43-year-old Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. My journey in the fitness industry started in 1999 when I completed a master’s diploma in sports training, exercise, and nutrition. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from professional athletes to individuals with additional needs. This experience has shaped my approach, allowing me to provide the best possible support to everyone I work with.

My Story

In 2021, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). This condition, sometimes known as "tunnel vision," gradually reduces eyesight and can eventually lead to complete loss of useful vision.

When faced with this diagnosis, I had two choices: let it define me or adapt and keep moving forward. I chose the latter. I remind myself daily—this isn’t the end of me; it’s just the beginning of a new version of me.

The Birth of The Coach House

As my condition progressed, I had to step away from my role as the Gym and Sports Facilities Manager at the Royal Agricultural University. But instead of giving up, my family and I made a plan. We built a purpose-built coaching studio right next to our home in Stonehouse—THE COACH HOUSE was born. This space allows me to continue doing what I love in a setting that is both safe for me and designed to offer the best possible experience for my clients.

My Passion for Fitness & Life

Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve played grassroots rugby at club and county levels, represented England in judo, and competed in the European Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Open. Nowadays, my focus is on staying functionally fit and strong so I can continue doing the things I love like surfing, skating, and traveling in our campervan with my family. Most weekends, you’ll find us at the beach, soaking up every moment and making the most of life.

This mindset is something I bring to my coaching. Yes, life throws challenges at us, but I believe in embracing them, adapting, and coming out stronger. Some might say I’ve been dealt a tough hand; I see it as an opportunity to inspire others facing their own obstacles.

4 week commitment (2 Sessions per week)

2 Sessions Per Week (£240 per month)

🔹 1-2-1 Personal Training twice a week
🔹 Tailored home workout plans to keep you progressing between sessions

This is a partnership between YOU and ME, your coach, to help you achieve the results you truly deserve.

You are guaranteed to see physical and visual results by showing your three-month commitment, ensuring consistency and momentum while fitting into your lifestyle.

Band of Brothers/Sisters (3 x 10mins a week)

Band Of Brothers/Sisters (£30 per month)

For the busy professional who’s always on the move!

If work travel makes staying consistent with training difficult, this plan is for you. I’ll help you:

I offer one-on-one support and guidance to help you make sustainable lifestyle changes and achieve lasting results.
🔹 Stay accountable – regular check-ins to keep you on track
🔹 Train anywhere – a structured plan designed for minimal space (perfect for hotel rooms!)
🔹 Use resistance bands – lightweight, portable, and effective

You’ll train three times per week, without it disrupting your lifestyle. I’ll guide you on the best resistance bands to use and when to progress.

With the right support, structure, and accountability, you will see results in both fitness and overall wellbeing.
